Project Summary:

Relief International is implementing Food security agriculture Project of OFDA funded project in selected district in Punjab province in Pakistan. The project aims to establish a coordination mechanism between the target community and government line agencies to ensure the food security to all target community in the targeted district.

Management Responsibilities:
  • The Programme Manager (PM) will be responsible for detailed design, planning, coordination and implementation of the project in the thematic areas.
  • Carried out assessment study for target UCs & Villages selection consultation with line agencies for target community, where implement the Food security Project activities.
  • The PM will be responsible to develop an implementation plan for project activities.
  • The PM will develop the selection criteria for the selection of UCs, Villages, and beneficiaries for project activities.
  • Programme Manager will visit the project activities on regular basis and give his/her feed back if required. He/she will develop the Bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly report regarding project activities.
  • Monitored & evaluate all the project activities at the district level and come up with value able suggestions for improvement in the implementation of current projects.
  • Establish a coordination mechanism with Government line agencies as well with other stakeholders for strengthening the linkages development between the community and government line agencies and the market.

Coordination and Linkages Development:
  • The PM will be responsible for regular coordination with line agencies to present project design and seek local recommendations.
  • Supervise the project team; orient them on project design, provide them with work plan, implementation strategy and reporting formats.
  • Represent Relief International in donors and Government liaison meetings for current and new interventions as focal/technical person.
  • Coordinate activities with donor, UN agencies, I/NGOs and Government Ministries and Institutions.

Operational Management:
  • To supervise the staff of the Food security agriculture Project and be responsible for their effectiveness and efficiency all the time.
  • To undertake performance appraisals of the staff reporting to him/her and suggest promotion/separation from service to Management.
  • Initiate a program of Capacity building for Project team members.

Program Development Responsibilities:
  • Assist the RPM in preparation of concept notes, monthly quarterly reports, MOUs with different departments for food security Project.
  • Assist the Program Development Section in conducting surveys, project designing for developing concepts and case studies to be presented to different donor agencies.

Requirement:
  • The ideal candidate should have a Master Degree in Agriculture from HEC recognized University.
  • Strong experience (6-8 Years professional experience in community empowerment programme) specifically in agriculture related project.
  • Experience with I/NGO/UN in relevant field,
  • good report writing skills and
  • good command on using MS Office,
  • Internet is also important.
