Job Description


Salary range for grade C1 is Rs. 51,829 – 78,492 per month. The preferred candidate would be expected to start on the minimum of the scale.

SAIC Hiring
  1. Assisting the recruitment process i.e. logistic support, setting the assessment workshop and facilitating the interview board before and after the exercise.
  2. Helping HR Manager in drafting adverts
  3. Getting basic security check of new arrivals one week before arrival and arranging Medical Check-ups with British High Commission Clinic for new arrivals before joining.
  4. Facilitating staff in issuing office entry cards, car pass and allocation of parking slot on the first day of joining

UK based Staff
  1. Supporting HR Manager and Head of Corporate Operations Group in providing an effective and reliable service to new UK based staff posted to Islamabad.
  2. Accurately complete drafts post selection documentation after hiring through e-resourcing 
  3. Filling the application and Annex 18A of staff getting Diplomatic Accreditation from High Commissioner
  4. Manage visa facilitation (UK+ other countries) on time in advance of visits.
  5. Providing support in preparation of timely and appropriate familiarisation visit programmes that meet the needs of the officer

HR Payments
  1. Preparing payments for housing, utilities bills, security and lease rentals
  2. Updating flexi travel related sheets, conversion in currency and communication with staff
  3. Clearing staff training invoices and making payments to local and international organizations
  4. Clearing staff medical reimbursement of staff appointed in country
 
Staff Training
  1. To assist HR Manager in preparation of annual staff development plan by July 2008 and its implementation through out the year and assist HR Manager in preparation of regular quarterly progress reports.
  2. Logistic support in arrangement of in-house  training Programmes
  3. Key role in doing the evaluation of each course, pre course, after the course from the staff member and after three months from Line Managers.
  4. Updating of the record of trainings of staff
  5. Building close working relationship with BHC Training Office, Learning Department and local training institutions.

HR Information System
  1. Effectively updating HR database in collaboration with team 7 within one week of new selection.
  2. Making it sure that entries in HR database are correct and reliable by conducting data screening 
  3. Keeping upto date HR teamsite on Monthly basis.
  4. Keeping hard copies of staff files and monitoring by weekly basis.
  5. Saving electronic version of staff related emails and documents on electronic database management system on daily basis and check on weekly.

Team working
  1. Be an effective member of the Corporate Services Team and contribute to the objectives of the DFID-Pakistan programme teams in pursuit of the Country Plan
  2. Accurate tracking of all staff sick absence records and preparation of the summary of sick return for Head of Cooperate Services and HR Manager by first week of each month.
  3. Cover HR Manager during his absence maintaining continuity and a high level of service and any other task assigned by office Manager.
  4. Preparation of payments and summaries for local staff medical expenses and Lease Rental, Maintenance houses, Utilities bills, housing security, Flexi Travel and School Fees for UK-based staff as per new ways of work schedule.
  5. Communicate effectively and establish good working relation with Corporate Operations colleagues, Programme teams, Senior Management and BHC colleagues.
  6. Actively contribute ideas and suggestion for better ways to working within the office and provide cover for other members of the Corporate Operations team in their absence as requested.
