Qualification:

  • Diploma in Associate Engineering (DAE) in Petroleum / Mechanical / Electrical

Experience:

  • Minimum 25 years of professional experience in oil wells drilling operations out of which at least 05 years or more experience in planning position and 10 years of experience as a Drilling Superintendent.
  • Candidate must have work experience as a Tool Pusher or above,
  • Should have a valid well control certificate (IWCF),
  • Have detailed and demonstrated technical knowledge of drilling directional and horizontal wells.
  • Have detailed understanding of drill bits, drilling motors and the relation of the drilling rig circulating system to these tools.
  • Have detailed understanding of weighted, oil and water based mud systems.
  • Be familiar with cost reporting and cost verification as it pertains to approval of company expenditures.
  • Have demonstrated the ability to manage multiple drilling rigs at one time in a safe and cost effective manner.
  • Understand and demonstrate leadership in all aspects of managing a HSE compliant operation without sacrificing operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze drilling plans,
  • Follow budgeting guidelines and bring about necessary changes to reduce costs,
  • Coordinate with material suppliers and contractors.
  • Assist and supervise drilling teams to executive well designs and drilling in a cost-effective way,
  • Coordinate and supervise drilling work,
  • Train drilling engineers, contractors and solve engineering problems arising during drilling,
  • Prepare and summarize progress reports for management,
  • Track and guide work and performance of drilling team,
  • Coordinate with drilling engineers during designing and calculate torque and hydraulic data accurately,
  • Prepare resources as per requirements, support drilling team and recommend optimization technologies,
  • Perform all activities efficiently, effectively and in a safe manner according to Company policies and HSE Standards.
