PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Small and Medium Enterprise Activity (SMEA) Challenge Fund has launched its 2nd cycle of SME Growth grants. Its a five-year program working with small and medium businesses to contribute to economic growth, job creation, and income generation in Pakistan.

The SME Growth Grant is for existing enterprises only, and is specifically designed to increase their competitiveness in the target sectors. This grant funding can be used for support in areas that will result in increased competitiveness, as long as it contributes to the objectives of increased jobs, sales, exports, adoption of technology and new practices, access to finance, access to market and improved performance of women-led enterprises.

For the above mentioned project, TiE Islamabad is looking for Judges and/or Mentors for the purpose of evaluating the applications.

STATEMENT OF NEED 

The project intends to hire multiple individuals and/or an organization during the tenure of the project as mentors/judges to mentor and evaluate the applicants of the project.

1. STATEMENT OF WORK 

The Judge shall be responsible for;

(a)  Evaluation of the shortlisted concept papers.

(b)  Attend the review meetings.

(c)  Submission of the signed score sheets for each of the reviewed applicant/concept note
 

(d)  Attending workshops

(e)  Mentoring the starttups

2. IMPLEMENTATION METHODOLOGY 

The candidate and/or organization shall specify the methodology & andragogy to be implemented in deliverance of the Assignment. 

3. MODE OF EXECUTION 

The successful candidates and/or organization will be required to execute the assignment in the following manner: 

(a) Sign the standard contract with the TIE. 

(b) Implementation of the assignment as per agreed framework in coordination with TIE & Local development partners 

4.    QUALIFICATION FOR THE TECHNICAL REVIEW PANEL

(a) Consultants, professors and/or organization who have deep experience with developing and reviewing business plans previously
.

(b) Experienced business professionals and/or organization that have written and executed on business plans previously.

(c) Having experience with the specific sector or the challenges would be important (at the same time they should not be currently working for a firm or organization that could benefit from the Challenge Grants).

5. SUBMISSION OF EOI

a. Curriculum Vitae for Individuals and the company.

c. Brief profile i.e. education, experience, projects etc. 

 

NOTE: Candidates/Organzations shall be shortlisted, evaluated and finalized on rolling basis.
