To achieve this goal, World Learning provides education, exchange, and development programs that empower people and strengthen institutions.
Since 2013, World Learning has been working in Pakistan to implement multiple programs focusing on activities in early grades reading, professional development, and IT-related workforce development across various regions of the country.
We are looking for a photography and videography team who can work with us across our various projects being implemented in multiple locations across the country.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The photographer and videographer will have the following responsibilities:
- To capture high-resolution images of WL programmes/project activities across Pakistan.
- Caption each photograph with specific details such as the location taken, name of the person (for portraits), activity and any other relevant information.
- Provide World Learning with at least 1000 high quality photographs on 2CD-roms from all the projects. The copy right for all these photographs remains with World Learning.
- Cover events including ceremonies, panel discussions, workshops and others for World Learning Pakistan
- Ability to provide edited photographs within a period of no more than 5 days after each activity.
- Travel to project sites and film short videos of project beneficiaries.’
- Identify key beneficiaries for the interview, develop questions in collaboration with the World Learning communications team and prepare the audience for compelling short videos.
- Have Consent forms filled out before filming the beneficiaries.
- Ensuring videos are precise and attention grabbing.
- Video editing as and when required according to feedback and comments from World Learning.
- Coordinating with focal person at World Learning for editing.
- Delivering final product on time.
Detailed specifications of each individual assignment will be given to the selected team.
Qualification and Expertise
The successful individua(s) is required to meet the following criteria:
- Five years progressive experience as a photographer and videographer.
- Experience taking photographs for development related agencies and projects.
- At least a high school certificate but possession of a degree or diploma or training in photojournalism will be an added advantage.
- Experience making short videos for development related agencies and projects
- Previous experience of working with USAID, or other international agencies.
- Availability and willingness to travel upcountry.
- Ability to work in close coordination with other team members.
- Training in videography.
- Ownership or possession of a high-resolution state of the art DSLR/equipment, zoom and wide-angle lenses and appropriate lighting and mic is a requirement.

Deliverables
The following deliverables/outcomes are expected from the photographer and videographer:
- A collection of photographs depicting the work of different World Learning in their areas of implementation.
- A collection of sample photos to be used in photo essays of project beneficiaries of World Learning.
- Edited and captioned pictures to illustrate uploaded stories.
- Complete event coverage for events including workshops, seminars, panel discussions, conferences and others.
- A collection of short videos depicting the work of World Learning.
- A collection of sample video footage to be used as and when required.
- Edited and subtitled videos as a final product.
Intellectual Property
All information pertaining to this project (documentary, digital, cyber, project documents, etc) belonging to World Learning, which the consultant may come into contact with in the performance of his/her, duties under this assignment shall remain the property of World Learning who shall have exclusive rights over their use. Except for purposes of this assignment, the information shall not be disclosed to the public nor used in whatever without written permission of World Learning in line with the national and International Copyright Laws applicable.
Contract duration
The contract will be effective from date of signing until notice.
Terms and conditions of payment
Design services will be delivered on an on-call basis and will be paid per activity/project in local currency.
