Position Objective

Providing technical guidance on implementation of resilience and social cohesion-related activities, and assistance conducting outreach / relationship building with stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Provide support to the project on strategies pertaining to social cohesion and mobilization.
  2. Develop, maintain and disseminate a comprehensive knowledge base on society-based perspectives in the area of work of the department to promote the professional development of staff in this area and provide information as required for different purposes.
  3. Analyze country's social development policies in focused geographies and their impact on health systems
  4. Support in designing of resilience and stabilization related tools for assessments
  5. Ensure inclusion of social reforms-based objectives, indicators, targets and activities throughout project implementation.
  6. Identify and proactively communicate any issues that might affect the project implementation and engage community support with guidance of senior management to address the issues.
  7. Collection and dissemination of information between communities, project staff and stakeholders.
  8. Reporting the progress on regular basis.
  9. Work with stakeholders to suggest actions directed towards reduction of the maternal mortality ratio in Pakistan,
  10. Suggest methods to be adapted in Public Health Supply Chain Systems for eradications non-communicable diseases through prevention and treatment and promote mental health and well-being
  11. Ensure access to sexual and reproductive health-care services, including for family planning, information and education, and the integration of reproductive health into national strategies and programmes.
  12. Design tools to achieve universal health coverage, including financial risk protection, access to quality essential health-care services and access to safe, effective, quality and affordable essential medicines and vaccines for all
  13. Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Job Specifications

Education: Master’s Degree in Social Sciences or relevant discipline.

Work Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant field. Experience of working in a USAID funded project and having good knowledge about USAID Country Development and Cooperation Strategy, governance and accountability issues, geography of Pak/Afghan border, tribal areas, Southern Punjab and Northern Sindh will be preferred.
