Purpose

To support in implementation of advocacy & communication activities, both in humanitarian & development contexts.

Job Description

  • Provide support and lead on some occasion in executing Age Demands Action campaigns. Coordinate with staff & external stakeholders in the execution of these campaigns.
  • Support in development of communications material and ensure all printing & designed material must fulfill the organization’s branding guidelines.
  • Lead the designing & Printing of IEC material, work on graphic software’s for in house designing and coordinate with vendors for designing & printing.  
  • Assist and support in organizing events, development of meeting minutes & reports.
  • Travel to field and project areas for data collection, case studies development and capturing photographs.
  • Assist Manager, Advocacy & Communications in developing short videos for different projects.
  • Coordination with federal & provincial government departments on legislation for protection of rights of older people.
  • Support in reviewing and editing of all the IEC material before printing.
  • Collect, organize and archive all the IEC material of the organization.
  • Contribute in program development especially related to Policy, advocacy and rights.
  • Play role in emergencies projects and programs.
  • Provide support to other program areas where required.
  • Coordinate with media and write press releases and briefings.

Qualification

  • Degree in communications, social sciences or other relevant area.
  • Good knowledge and experience of graphics software E-g Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw and others.

  • Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to bring creative and innovative ideas for publications.
  • Ability to maintain and develop existing and new media contacts.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
