Job Description

Training Assistant/Coordinator

STS seeks an Training Assistant/Coordinator for a USAID-funded early grade reading program in Pakistan. The Assistant/Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the logistics and procurements for STS’ trainings as well as overall personnel support for STS’ staff. S/he will work with the Training Lead to support the execution of the trainings. This position will provide administrative and logistical support to the project activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure logistics arrangement (travel, accommodation, conference room rental, tools etc.) for enumerators, supervisors, and Quality Control Officers (QCOs) are secured prior to visiting schools during data collection.
  • Arrange logistics for training activities, including venue booking, catering and transportation
  • Coordinate with the MSI Technical Team and submit progress report, as requested, to the MSI/STS Assessment Lead.
  • Maintain regular communication with the client, project field staff, and STS home office staff.
  • Distribute and collect tablets, forms, and data collection stimuli from enumerators and supervisors prior to and following data collection.
  • Ensure Tangerine and assessment tools are downloaded onto tablets for use in the EGRA trainings and data collection
  • Prepare timely, accurate management information as requested by STS home office or MSI.
  • When required, submit brief reports to STS home office staff.
  • Procure all necessary materials and supplies for training programs and events, in collaboration with the Office Manager.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to provide administrative and logistical support for personnel, procurement, and/or other administrative tasks that arise.
  • Address inquiries from trainees via telephone and e-mail.
  • Maintain an up-to-date file of contacts for all individuals involved in the program.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • At least three or more years of logistical and administrative management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity. 
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Pakistani citizen.
  • English fluency required. Urdu and/or Sindh fluency required.
