Job Description

Training Lead - Sindhi

STS seeks a Training Lead for a USAID-funded early grade reading program in Pakistan. This short-term position will provide support to the project over the course of two months in Karachi. The Training Lead - Urdu will collaborate with the Assessment Lead and other project personal to develop and facilitate trainings for Enumerators, Supervisors, and Quality Control Officers (QCO’s) in preparation for the Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA) data collection.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide support to develop Master Trainers and QCOs EGRA training workshop materials
  • Support training of Master Trainers and QCO’s workshop on EGRA administration in Pakistan.
  • Troubleshoot enumerators’ performance issues as communicated to them by the Assessment Lead and STS and MSI project personnel.
  • Maintain regular communication with the client, project field staff, and STS home office staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in international development, education, economics, statistics, research methods, political science, public policy, social science, or a related field.
  • At least three years’ experience in the field of education required. Experience in reading assessment, specifically EGRA strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing training materials and facilitating enumerator trainings. EGRA training preferred.
  • Prior experience programming and using electronic data collection software. Experience with Tangerine preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity. 
  • Prior experience delivering training and workshops
  • Pakistani citizen.
  • English fluency required. Sindhi fluency required.
