Summary:
This position is to provide transport facilitation to CMP program and program staff in order to attain the objectives of the organization. Driver must be able to effectively communicate in English and Sindhi languages and demonstrate quality of commitment and integrity that serves as an example to others:
General Responsibilities:
- Maintain office vehicles in perfect condition which includes timely servicing, oil changing, filter replacement, tuning, unadulterated fuel filling (from a good petrol pump), washing of vehicle and informing supervisor if there are major repairs to be done either electrical or mechanical.
- Keep the assigned vehicle clean and road-worthy.
- Out of city visits on periodic basis ad work will be required on weekends on need basis
- Wash/clean official cars on periodic basis or whenever required.
- Maintain a log book for the vehicle noting down mileage of each day, checking of fuel consumption and routine service checkups, after the prescribed mileage. This book will also include details of who went where and when.
- At the start of every week ensuring log book is in file for further checking and verification of Admin officer.
- Maintaining all documents related to vehicle use, e.g., driving license, registration, insurance, etc. for official car.
- Facilitate pick and drop services as assigned or whenever office vehicle is required accordingly.
- To facilitate out of city travel in irregular schedules and to provide maximum support to teams
- Cell phone will always be open and should be in good working condition for coordination during travel or on official duty for smooth communication and safety. Must be familiar with different districts of Sindh and Karachi City.
- *Any other task that may seem necessary to perform from time to time.
Driving:
Drive at a speed adjusted to the road and weather conditions, and with consideration for the safety of the passengers, other road users and the technical state of the vehicle.
Wear a seat belt, ensuring that the passengers in the front seats also wear their seat belts at all times when the vehicle is in motion. Notify supervisor, as well as the local authorities, in case of accidents.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Middle/Matriculate
- 2-3 years of driving experience while serving with Developmental sector organizations
- Valid Driving license is required
