1. The Project

The USAID Small and Medium Enterprise Activity (SMEA) is a five-year initiative that is supporting Pakistan augment SME-led growth that will help reduce poverty, create jobs, foster entrepreneurship and contribute to an increased GDP. As part of the United States Government’s long-term commitment to helping Pakistanis secure a more prosperous future by increasing household incomes and employment, nurturing competitive small and medium enterprises, expanding trade and investment and creating more rewarding business opportunities, SMEA is working towards improving the enabling environment for private sector led growth.

2. Scope of work

SMEA requires the services of a graphic design consultant for a total level of effort of 40 days over the next one year to help develop designs/graphics for communications collateral related to events, publications, infographics, and other material as determined by the project. The consultant will work directly with SMEA’s Communications Specialist and provide three designs for each item.

At the end of each assignment, the consultant will provide final source and print-ready files to SMEA and will also be available to coordinate with and guide the printer in case of any issues arising as a result of the design work.

3. Selection criteria

• Minimum 7 years of graphic design experience with international, private and donor agencies/organizations. Experience of working with USAID funded projects is strongly preferred.
• Proficient in using key design software (In Design, Photoshop, Corel Draw)
• Knowledge of USAID branding regulations
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
