Relevant Experience & Qualification: 

  • Master preferably in Social work or any discipline of Social Sciences.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Pro women laws and its implementation status in Sindh Province.
  • Excellent networking and coordination Skills
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills;
  • 5-7 year working experience in the field of social sector particularly  with Government at provincial and  district level
  • Ready to work immediately.

Job Description:

  • The position is responsible for carrying out the office and field level activities related to – Project titled “Provincial Advocacy and Research to strengthen implementation of pro women legislation and GBV Response Services in Sindh”.
  • Organize stakeholders meetings at provincial and district level with relevant departments
  • Strong Liaison with legislators/ parliamentarians
  • Organize policy advocacy and lobbying meeting with legislators for advocacy an lobbying on implementation of pro women laws
  • Technical Support to PSF forum to launch advocacy campaigns and consultations with relevant stakeholders
  • Organize Quarterly review and planning meeting with Provincial Steering Forum (PSF)
  • Organize TV talk shows on implementation of Pro women laws and its structure
  • Organize consultation meetings of Sindh Commission on the Status of Women ( SCSW) with the relevant stakeholders
  • Organize Capacity building of Women Protection Officers
  • Organize Capacity Building Workshop for Medico Legal Officer (MLO’s)
  • Close Coordination with Sindh Commission on the Status of Women (SCSW)
  • Carrying out independent research/ data collection on project related researchers
  • Close coordination with District and Provincial Monitoring Committees
  • Close Coordination with Provincial Steering Forum (PSF) members to carry out the advocacy plan
  • Following the work plan and meeting the targets as per plan
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and bi-annual work plans
  • Documentation of all activities and compiled data for monthly and quarterly reports

Other: 

  • Adhere to SPO policies and promote participatory culture and demonstrate SPO’s values.
  • Participate in the SPO programme planning and review meeting if needed.
  • Participate in professional development training as identified and approved by the Supervisor.
  • Carry out any other project relevant activities as assigned by the supervisor.
