POSITION SUMMARY:

The Communication Manager will be responsible for conveying the organizational messages of the LAO and LAS, both internally and externally. The role will be responsible for drafting communication materials, presentations and reports for employees and external stakeholders. The resource must possess excellent speaking and writing skills in both English and Urdu and a preference will be given to Sindhi. The resource must be proficient in working with others. The resource will lead development of communication strategies to increase awareness of the organisations and their work and in terms of liaising with media to announce key events and achievements. The position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and the Executive Director and works closely with Associate Directors and Program Managers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Responsible for ensuring employees are aware of changes and projects within the organization. Distribution of executive messages, preparation of presentations and internal memos, and conducting meetings to share information.
  • Responsible for marketing and public relations assignments and handling external partners in this connection.
  • Serve as the official spokesperson of the organisations at key events to convey public messages.
  • Responsible for generating press releases, arranging interviews and compiling press kits.
  • Responsible for developing and consolidating success stories across programs and communicating these to employees and external stakeholders.
  • Manages the social media accounts and works in close coordination with graphic designers.
  • Develops content for social media messages and other marketing activities.
  • Develops and implement a communication strategy as aligned with and contributing to the overall strategic objectives of the organisations.
  • Strategically identifies and develops key relationships that support the advocacy of strategies that accelerate organisations work.

    • Significant professional knowledge and experience in NGO management and community relations ideally in a professional setting.

    • Proven superior written and verbal communication skills.
    • Demonstrated management and leadership abilities.
