Job Responsibilities:

  • In close coordination with Project Manager, Lead the implementation of the project in the field in reaching the project objectives, and in accordance with the project implementation plan and timeline.
  • Facilitate and support field staff in health education and organizing events at village, UC and Taulka level.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work with local community, CBO and the beneficiaries.
  • Organize and ensure proper, transparent and efficient beneficiary selection; follow-up and monitoring of the process.
  • Conduct regular field visits and follow-up and to support the planned schedule and activities, and provide regular reporting on the progress, achievements and constraints.
  • Collect and verify the documentation related to beneficiary selection, field site visits, beneficiary, meeting/training attendance, and other project activities.
  • Collect project data including base line, needs assessment and end line data.
  • Work closely with project staff to ensure compliance of complaints (CRM) in line with CHS principles.
  • Assist in developing the capacity of local community, in order to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in ensuring effective coordination of project implementation with the local partners community members and health care staff.
  • Provide data and information necessary for the preparation and provision of project reports, success stories, tracking implementation and activities.
  • Ensure regular meetings at community level and provide minutes accordingly.
  • Any thematic task assigned by the supervisor/senior management.

 

Job Specifications:

Qualification and Experience:

  • For the position of Project Officer Graduate/Master degree from recognized university in social science and any other related discipline and at least three years experience is considered necessary.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational  and report writing skills.
  • Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively, flexibly and effectively in a small, dynamic team.
  • Ability to think and act quickly, creatively and strategically under pressure.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English with proficiency in local languages being a significant advantage.
  • Experience in managing and supporting colleagues from a distance.
  • Advance level computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
