Project Engineer

Background: The position is for an international development project working to deliver social infrastructure across Pakistan.

Position Summary: This position will be responsible for scheduling, planning and overseeing the entire program of work through use of sophisticated planning software like Primavera and MS Project.

Location: Islamabad

Reporting and Supervision: This position will report to Project Manager.

Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Managing master schedule and earned value based portfolio reporting for design and construction of building projects
• Review and approval of detailed resource and cost loaded schedules submitted by contractors.
• Review and approval of Health & Safety plans and Quality Control Plan.
• Responsible for Cost Control functions. This includes the Earned Value Analysis, Estimated cost at completion analysis, margin/profitability analysis, and development of charge codes, ensure billing on correct line items, revenue and start projections, cash flows analysis, S-curves and KPI analysis for multi-year multi-million contracts.
• Responsible for setting Quarterly targets based on the approved Construction Schedules, tracking of these targets, as well as, reporting.
• Responsible for coordinating and review of EOT claims.
• Responsible for writing monthly progress reports, preparing and giving presentations to Clients.
• Development of annual work plans and ensuring compliance.
• Establish progress and financial reporting systems to collect cost and progress data
• Forensic analysis of claims submitted by contractors from the cost and schedule perspective.
• Development of Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems for the program, development of Quality implementation plan, document archiving guidelines for construction and design, project closeout guidelines for construction and design
• Schedules, plans and overseeing the entire program of work through use of sophisticated planning software like Primavera and MS Project.

Minimum Qualification and Experience required:

• BE Civil Engineering degree
• 5 Year Min. in building projects, with a minimum of 3 years as a planning engineer or managing project planning for buildings.
• Knowledge of Primavera, MS Project, Cost Control, CPM Scheduling, WBS, MS Excel
