Tetra Tech ES, Inc., a subsidiary of Tetra Tech (USA) dedicated to international development, is recruiting for a Pakistan-based professional for the position below to support a multi-year (2017-2021) USAID-funded sustainable energy project in Pakistan. Position based in Islamabad, with travel to project sites as required.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Training Specialist will work closely with project team members to design and organize all training activities, to build the capacity of stakeholders and counterparts in the energy sector, including government, private sector, and electric utilities.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- Serve as the single point-of-contact for all project training activities
- Develop training curricula and materials from technical inputs provided by the project team
- Develop and collect trainee assessment data, analyze collected data, and recommend any changes necessary in materials and training implementation
- Maintain quality control of all project training materials; including the development of standardized formats, regular revisions, and adaptation of training materials based on feedback
- Oversee translation of training material as needed
- Coordinate all logistics associated with training activities including venue, travel, production of training material, registrations, attendee lists, and completion certificates
- Develop surveys to measure the impact of training activities, and follow-up after trainings to ensure retention and gauge progress
- Maintain all training data and materials, and report training statistics
- Prepare training summary reports and training success stories
- Engage with the external stakeholders, to collaborate on training in-line with project goals
QUALIFICATIONS: (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS)
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, education, organizational development or human resources.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 5 to 7 years’ experience required
- Experience designing and developing professional-level training materials and curricula for professional and government audiences
- Prior work experience on USAID or donor funded international development training preferred
- Experience with energy sector preferred

- Excellent organization and prioritization skills with the ability to multi-task
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
LANGUAGES:
Excellent language proficiency in both writing and speaking in English and Urdu.
