Project Overview

Pathfinder International, Pakistan is starting a new project three-year project Naya Qadam: Increase Post-pregnancy Family Planning Through Expanding Public and Private Sector Service With a Focus on Young Women in 2018. We welcome applications from qualified candidates who are interested in sexual and reproductive health and possess the competencies, education, and experience cited below.

 

Summary: Serves as the primary support for the finance & MIS functions of Pathfinder Districts offices. Ensures that all field financial activities are managed and administered according to Pathfinder and donor regulations and policies. Assists with financial capacity building and development provided to field offices. Focuses on accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with Pathfinder policies and donor regulations. In addition to this, he/she will also be responsible for the programmatic data management from the facilities to districts. Will ensure that data is enters in the MIS system as per scheduled reporting dates. Builds constructive and effective relationships with team members and clients.

Key Job Outcomes:

  1. Monitoring, Tracking and Reporting: Record and reviews monthly project spending performance for accuracy, allowability, availability of project funds, adequate supporting documentation, and proper authorization.
  2. Compliance: Assists with ensuring standard financial systems and controls are established and maintained to provide appropriate level of controls over the organization's resources. Reviews monthly spending performance of district offices to ensure compliance with Pathfinder and donor policies.
  3. Lead the monthly routine service delivery data collection from target facilities on monthly basis, and submit collected routine service delivery data after the reviewed by M&E officer.
  4. Follow-up with district team and collect all trainings information and review the filled trainings forms to check the completeness.
  5. Timely data entry of trainings forms into web based Management Information System.
  6. Manage the hard copies of trainings forms into proper files and managing documentation of all activities. Support district team to extract trainings information from training database.
  7. Timely data entry and file maintenance of health facilities’ QIPS assessment data.

 

Minimally Required Job-Specific Competencies:

  • Financial Accounting Systems Implementation: Foundational knowledge of financial accounting systems implementation at a project or program management level.
  • Financial Reporting: Ability to prepare and develop required financial reports.
  • PC Tools: Foundational knowledge of finance and accounting software applications to include systems, data and spreadsheets.
  • Audit Process: Foundational knowledge of the audit system, process and tools.
  • Compliance: Foundational knowledge of compliance standards and guidelines.
  • Communication: Oral and written communication skills using different forms of media.
  • Software Applications: Foundational knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
  • Languages: Proven ability to write and speak using local language and English language
  • Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Services: Foundational knowledge of family planning and reproductive health principles, practices and services of assigned program, including program strategies and indicators.
  • Passion for Sexual and Reproductive Health Services: Commitment to family planning, reproductive health services, gender, maternal, child health services, and eradication of harmful traditional practices.
  • Organization, Planning and Multi-tasking: Advanced organizational and planning skills, project planning and management skills. Proven ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision. Proven ability to coordinate activities.
  • Confidentiality: Proven ability to maintain confidentiality on work-related issues.

Minimally Required Education, Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management, or related field, or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience that yields the required competencies
  • 2 years’ professional experience working in finance, financial monitoring, policies and administration
  • Work experience with a multinational organization.
  • Must be able to work independently and respond to queries in a timely manner.
