Summary:

Senior Program Manager PPP will be responsible for developing and executing PPP for education strategy of the program; integration of PPPs with CMP’s other components and developing and supervising the related information / reporting. This position will reports to Depuy Chief of Party- Programs based in Karachi.

Responsibilities: 

  1. Develop concept notes, fund raising strategies, sustainable and material linkages between CMP and private sector entities and follow-up and management of public-private partnerships;
  2. Identify major local, multinational, and global corporations, foundations, clubs, philanthropists’ networks, diaspora groups, social entrepreneurs, overseas Pakistanis and other private sector entities to support SBEP and its objectives in Sindh province;
  3. Energize local community groups surrounding target public schools and generate local in-kind, cash and time resources for education with the support of CMP’s district teams.
  4. Arrange meetings and other events for private sector organizations, philanthropists, foundations, and NGOs to introduce the GOS EMOs’ initiative under SBEP. Through these events, PS-PPP will also generate interests of the potential partners and deepen their understanding of the EMO system.
  5. Work, where required, with SBEP implementation partners, Government of Sindh and other involved stakeholders for the development of innovative ideas to introduce and promote Public Private Partnerships (PPP) to support targeted schools;
  6. Be responsible for building and developing mechanism to service, and sustain long term relationship with potential donors;
  7. Facilitate partnership agreements and support parameters for all involved parties.
  8. Maintain a database of public-private partnership activities, and develop periodic reports;
  9. Any other tasks as assigned by the management.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Advanced University Degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, Communication, Social Sciences, Marketing/Fundraising or related fields. (Bachelor’s degree in related field with ten or more years of experience as described below can be considered in lieu of Advanced University degree)
  2. Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible professional work experience in designing fundraising events, mechanisms, approaches, corporate fundraising, donor outreach and management, project management in corporate and institutional fundraising, preferably at the international level.
  3. Proven experience of generating support through the private sector.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of private sector engagement vision of USAID, of experience of linkages with major local, multinational, and global corporations, foundations, clubs, philanthropists’ networks, diaspora groups, social entrepreneurs and other private sector entities which support social development projects.
  5. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of fundraising and resource generation for social development initiative, especially in education sector. Experience in individual or pledge fundraising also highly valuable
  6. Strong communication skills, including engaging and informative formal public speaking with strong preference for knowledge and experience in communications for private sector audiences.
  7. High competency in spoken and written English, and use of computers and communications technology
  8. Business-like, diplomatic and organized in approach and presentable in appearance
