Project Background

A national Non-governmental organization is looking individuals for its Donor Funded project TABEER-Consolidating Democracy in Pakistan (CDIP) implementing in District Peshawar Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The Project is working to support the consolidation of democratic processes in Pakistan by strengthening the capacity of the country’s institutions to be more effective, accountable and responsive to the needs of Pakistani people. The project will support improved policy dialogue, political debate, and public discourse, supporting citizens to play a more active and informed role in decision-making.The draft roles and responsibilities will include but are not limited to;

  • To generate meaningful reports for analysis for management and Donor on regular basis, and also support Senior Manager Finance and Accounts to ensure t these are in line with their compliance criteria.
  • To support compliance with mandatory requirements of the Government of Pakistan and Donor  regulations, as applicable,
  • To collect supporting documents for expenses’ authentication,
  • To maintain proper auditable documentation for ensuring compliance to the required policies,
  • Coordination with Senior Grants Officer to ensure timely reporting from implementing partners.
  • To support improvement and maintenance of efficient internal controls and accounting systems in line with the URDO Financial Manual,
  • Correspondence with banks.
  • To Prepare bank reconciliation statements on monthly basis.
  • To facilitate External Audits, Internal Audits and Donor Audits.
  • Ensure proper Project Close out and final settlements of on timely basis.
  • Any other task assigned by supervisor.
  • To perform administrative and financial management
  • To keep records and perform bookkeeping for financial transactions
  • To ensure compliance with the contract in procurement, financial transactions and administrative operations for the project
  • Reviewing and verifying invoices for office operating expenses
  • Preparation and Processing of payrolls and payments
  • Preparation and entry of vouchers
  • Facilitation in procurement of project assets and stationary
  • Project audit along with preparation of financial reports for the management.
  • Any other task Assign be Management.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

The candidate should possess Minimum Bachelor of Commerce (B.com) Degree in Finance and Accounting.

Competencies:

Candidate should be proficient and experienced in using accounting software, especially Peachtree / QuickBooks Pro. He/she should be well-versed with Microsoft Office including MS Excel. Candidate must be politically neutral and declare his/her neutrality. He/she should be fluent in Urdu and English (both verbal and written communication) and one regional language. Awareness about relevant laws (Income Tax etc) should be considered.
