Constituency Coordinator (Urgent)

A national Non-governmental organization is looking individuals for its General Election Observation project implementing in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The draft roles and responsibilities will include but are not limited to;

• Efficacy of measures for the implementation and enforcement of election laws and regulations
• Preparations of elections such as appointments and trainings of election officials, etc.
• Compliance of state/government officials and departments with legal responsibilities and ECP regulations
• Electoral and political violence
• Actions of law enforcement agencies in the elections’ context, along with notes on the overall political environment in their assigned districts
• Role of caretaker governments
• Candidates’ nomination process
• Election campaign and code of conduct violations
• Campaign finance issues
• Election-related complaints and resolutions.
• Checklist filling and sharing
• Nomination papers, process and related details;
• Candidates’ final list;
• Challenges and counter-challenges to nominations;
• Finalization of polling schemes (provisional and final polling schemes);
• Objections by political parties and candidates on polling schemes;
• Election staffing scheme by ECP;
• Observation data of the process of consolidation of results at RO office and relevant forms
• Observation data of the process of submission of return of election expenses by returned candidates

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Pakistani national fluent in written and spoken Pashto, English and Urdu. 
2. Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Social Sciences.
3. At least 2-4 years’ experience in Election Project with an NGO.
4. Fluent in standard computer programs, including online applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and excellent typing skills in English. 
5. Ability to work to tight deadlines and under time pressure.
