Position Purpose and Summary: 

To support National Manager M&E in implementation of the M&E strategy and framework. Responsible for ensuring completeness and accuracy of data entered into the MIS and following up missing information.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Assist the National Manager M&E in implementation of M&E activities across the programme, including the development of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) plans, coordination of surveys, capacity building, and other M&E activities identified in the programme strategy.
  • Assist in knowledge management across the programme ensuring systematic reflection and learning processes and knowledge sharing beyond the programme.
  • Provide technical and operational assistance to programme provincial offices and implementing partners particularly on coordinating the development of survey protocols, questionnaires, data collection and analyses and report preparation, ensuring milestones are met.
  • Act as Focal Person for FFO’s, ensuring timely data input to FortIS by the field teams and that data quality is maintained during the whole cycle of data collection, storage, processing and analysis.
  • Ensure meaningful engagement of programme stakeholders in M&E. 
  • Monitor compliance with DFID standards for duty of care, digital policies and media communications & branding.
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations on performance results for DFID, federal, provincial and special area governments, development agencies and the scientific community.

Person Specification:

Qualifications: Master’s degree, from a university recognised by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, in statistics, management or any other relevant discipline.

Experience: At least five years’ experience in supporting implementing M&E strategies and frameworks, and knowledge management across a complex and geographically dispersed programme in Pakistan. Experience in development/ operationalisation of complex databases and data management systems is a must, while experience of monitoring of nutrition/ health programs will be an asset. Experience with DFID or other donor funded projects will be an asset.

Skills: Excellent, proven interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with individuals with diverse educational and cultural backgrounds; excellent computer skills in the use of MS Office, and databases; reasonable report writing skills, and ability to communicate well in English (oral and written).

Location:                    FFP National Office, Islamabad, with extensive travel to each of the 4 provinces (Punjab, Sindh, KP and Baluchistan), and other locations as required.
