The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) is an institution of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). Established by the Aga Khan Foundation in 1982 and registered as a non-profit company under Companies Act 1984 in Pakistan, AKRSP has been working in Federally Administered Gilgit Baltistan and district Chitral of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the field of integrated rural development with the mission to promote inclusive human development and eradicate extreme poverty.
Satpara Development Project (SDP) is a five year project (2012=2017) and extended for another year, is funded by USAID and implemented jointly by the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF,P) and AKRSP at Satpara dam command are situated in Skardu, Baltistan.
We are looking for a suitable and competent candidate to fill in the position of Quantity Surveyor on Short Term contract for two months with a with possibility of extension for nine months based at our Skardu office.
Job Purpose:
Reposting to the Team Leader the incumbent will be responsible to make sure quantifications and verifications of miscellaneous civil engineering works.
Experience required:
Around 5 years of relevant experience is required.
Job Description:
- Conduct and verify measurements taken by field staff for civil works.
- Responsible for preparation of Interim Payment Certificates and other payments.
- Prepare final BOQs and cost estimates for the completed works for final payments.
- Responsible for receiving all kinds of drawings and review before issuance to contractors.
- Assist the Civil Engineer in quantities and cost estimation of all civil works.
- Will calculate and verify the quantities of works for joint surveys.
