Summary:
The main responsibility of this position will consists of daily accounting functions and processing of payments; preparation, filing and scanning of vouchers. The incumbent will assist his/her supervisor in maintenance of books of accounts in quick books. The Finance Officer will work under supervision of and reportable to Financial Analyst.
Specific Job Functions:
- The incumbent will prepare vouchers for all financial transactions on daily basis and maintain their proper supporting documents
- Assure supporting documents are approved and are in compliance with organizational standard procedures
- Preparation of cheques and timely delivery to vendors including assurance of their receipts
- Preparation of bank reconciliation statements on monthly basis for financial reporting
- Processing of staff travel claims and timely deposit of these claims to bank
- Maintain proper filling system for all financial documents.
- The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining of payments tracker/register
- Scanning of Vouchers on weekly basis and uploading on FTP Server.
- Deposit of unspent money to bank (if any)
- Any other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications Skill and Experience
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in relevant field (Finance and Accounts)
- 2-3 years of experience in the relevant field with INGO/NGO
- Accounting software’s QuickBooks experience is compulsory
- Good skills of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and outlook
- Good inter-personal skills and flexible to work with staff with diverse cultural backgrounds
- Ability to perform under stress and meet with deadlines
