POST: Manager (Monitoring)
QUALIFICATION:
• Engineering degree preferably MS degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computers and Telecom recognized by PEC or a foreign degree.
• Experience in carrying out research and academic papers is a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
• Min 5 years post qualification experience in similar capacity with overall 10 years of experience of implementation of BSS, RF or Transmission.
• Good understanding of microwave, optic fiber and VSAT projects.
• Partake in select monitoring visits.
• Ensure that the team is achieving targets and reporting the correct facts.
• Maintain the monitoring and snag removal tracker on a dashboard.
• Technical report writing and corrections in reports submitted by visiting engineers. A sample of 5000 words (approximately) technical report may be required at the time of interview.
• Manage relationships with third party digital delivery partners, focusing on performance management against agreed SLA's and KPI's
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• To provide assistance in planning, designing and implementation of Telecom / ICT based projects of Quality Assurance and Monitoring Team.
• To lead USF Monitoring team to accomplish annual targets and assigned KPIs for monitoring of RAN, RF, Broadband and Optical Fibre networks.
• To design monitoring itinerary for the team so that each completed project is visited twice a year.
• To do effective and continuous communication with Manager (Quality Assurance) and SM (Quality Assurance and Monitoring) to ensure that staffing requirements are met.
• To ensure that the project sites and nodes are monitored within quality standards in line with USF rules.
• To assess training needs of subordinate staff and recommend them for training.
• To hold regular meetings with Service Provider POCs and USF senior colleagues to keep them apprised of various monitoring activities.
• To ensure best practices and processes across the digital team for the consistent delivery of digital projects.
• To develop on-going plans for delivery activities in conjunction with the digital team and manage any allocated resources to ensure that the team delivers to committed tasks.
• Extensive travelling may require as per work requirement in any project area across the country.
