Job PurposeAssist and underpin Regional Advisor to strengthen human resources of the ROG and play pivotal role to expand programs, projects and social enterprise ventures and tape the unexplored opportunities in Gilgit- Baltistan. Secondly, to develop close coordination with public/private institutions, facilitate and guide ROG team to development and explore new opportunities, develop feasibility studies, write concept papers and proposals to strengthen HF program in Gilgit- Baltistan.

  1. A.  Programs and Projects.

Assist Regional Advisor to:

1-   Represent Hashoo Foundation on all forums including public & private institutions in Gilgit-Baltistan.

2-   Conduct surveys with the help of ROG team to identify potential areas for interventions.

3-   Provide guidance and facilitation to the ROG program team in developing appropriate project concept papers proposals based on local needs and opportunities.

4-    Program planning, budget preparation and effective implementation of ROG Programs and Projects activities.

5-   Interact and develop linkages with relevant departments of Government and NGOs for promotion of ROG programs.

6-   Develop strategies to address training needs of the communities for capacity building and income generation.

7-    Searching and seeking relevant funding opportunities.

8-   Close coordination with LSOs, Communities and beneficiaries of Programs and projects in GB.

9-   Successful implementation and operationalization of approved plans and strategies of ROG.

10- Developing, designing and presenting for approval business plans, models and strategies of programs and projects.

11- Attend meetings, workshops and seminars.

12- Supervise and provide leadership to ROG team.

13- Provide professional leadership to ROG program team.

  1. B.  Assist Regional Advisor in Management / Operational Functions:

1-   Ensure to Comply with policies and procedures of HF.

2-   Look after daily routine affairs of ROG.

3-   Coordination and effective communication with the section heads of ROG and departments of core office.

4-   Effective management of human and financial resources.

  1. C.  Reporting:

1-   Prepare and submit quality monthly, quarterly and annual reports of ROG programs.

2-   Prepare and submit routine monthly progress reports/ATM of ROG programs and projects.

3-   Develop success stories of ROG programs and projects.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu.
  • Good IT skills to include Excel, Word and use of databases.
  • Excellent negotiation and networking skills.

  • Willingness to travel extensively to the program area.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • A good team-player who is able to promote the spirit of joined of working at all levels.
  • Ability to represent ROG and Hashoo Foundation confidently.

Qualification Requirements:

Ideally a post graduate qualification in Social Sciences from a recognised University.

Essential Experience, Skills and Competencies

Professional Experience

  • Practical management experience of programs and projects. .
  • Ideally two to 5 years or more relevant experience preferably some of which have been in the NGO sector.
  • Practical experience of reporting.
