A non profitable humanitarian organization seeks applications for the position of Trainer / Resournce Person for conducting ToT  Project Staff on Gender Responsive Enterprize Development and Training of 102 Gender Activists of Umarkot on gender responsive enterprize development.  

 

Job Description:

A successful candidate/ consulting firm will be required to deliver the training of trainers to Project Staff and 102 gender activists selected from remote villages of Umerkot, who can further conduct series of sessions in the field on gender responsive enterprize development.  Training must be designed in the way to increase awareness and knowledge of gender activists on gender & stereotype and increase CGAs confidence and ability to address at least 2 gender related issues in their respective groups.  

Proposed Time Framework and Deliverables:

The Trainer/Resource Person / consulting firm will be expected to deliver extensive work following with field work for developing a tailor made training. He/she will spend 3 days in field to study the project documents, get orientation of project, and conduct meetings with project staffs, meetings with  household gender action groups (HGAGs) and meeting with community gender activists to assess the comprehensive training needs on diverse range of gender realted issues. After that, he/she will design the training contents for project staffs as well as CGAs. it would be total 15-20 days assignment.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Field work for designing a comprehensive research base training.
  • 3-days ToT of project staffs on gender responsive enterprize development.  
  • Training of 102 gender activists selected from remote community of Umerkot.  Training will be on following topics/gender behaviors:
  • Gender equality and equity
  • Women’s rights and  power relations in family and community
  • Women’ s inclusion in decision making process in household, community and livelihoods.
  • Women exercising freedom of choice and its impact in family and community
  • Gender Based Violence and its impact on women’s life and family.
  • Women’s right to access education, food, health,and mobility and its impact on family and community.

 

Job Specifications

  • For the position of Trainer / Resournce Person Graduate University degree preferably in women and gender studies, communications, advertising, social science, or other related area and minimum of 5 years experience is considered necessary.  
  • Expert knowledge and practical experience in information, education, and communication (IEC) materials development especial focus on behavior change communication preferably in local language.
  • Excellent skills of training designing and facilitation.
  • Experience designing educational or behavior change materials for illiterate community.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills especially with vulnerable groups as women, children and other.
  • Willing to travel to the remote area for trainings.
  • Flexible in providing support in monitoring and refreshers course.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • He/she must be well-informed on policies and laws relating to women rights.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills, fluency in Sindhi will be given preference.
