General Scope of Work:

Training Officer supports the KM & Learning Manager in building the workforce capacity required to move the knowledge through growth and change within the Organization. He/she will create and oversee the delivery of training initiatives including leadership and staff development programs, change management and leadership.  The training Officer will also help in organizing training for key stakeholders as needed for the success of project, including journalists and LEAD Pakistan employees.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. To direct the needs assessment for training and staff development to help enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the company.
  2. Coordinate with Communication and Outreach Manager to deliver 4 trainings for PSPC staff on in communication skills; communication strategies; media outreach; content management; digital marketing and branding; social media presence; among other related themes. And 4 sensitization trainings for journalists on LEAD Pakistan Program in the context of Pakistan’s water challenges.
  3. Reviews evaluations of training courses, objectives and accomplishments.
  4. Makes assessments of effectiveness of training in terms of employee accomplishments and performance.
  5. Trains employees on HR issues and practices. Presents course materials.
  6. Designs and develops HR training programs for management and employees.
  7. Undertake TNA and deliver trainings for local journalist as and when needed
  8. Under take TNA and deliver training for local functionaries at tehsil level as and when needed
  9. Undertake TNA and deliver trainings for local civil society as and when needed

Professional & Qualification Requirements:

  1. Educated to Master’s Degree in HRM.
  2. Experience as a content writer of at least 5 years. Evidence of authoring papers, articles, and related literature.
  3. Good interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise and communicate with colleagues at all levels of seniority, on capacity building.
  4. Ability to work as part of a team, on own initiative.
  5. Strong all round communication skills, including fluent written and spoken English, including good presentation skills.
  6. To prepare help prepare policies and guidelines on training and ensure compliance to the standards.

The positions relate to a landmark project in Water in the Punjab Province.

All position required frequent travel between Islamabad & Lahore and Districts of Southern Punjab.
