General Scope of Work:

Database Management Officer is responsible for collating and consolidating all quantitative and qualitative data that is generated by various components of the LEAD Pakistan program, and maintaining them in an accessible and usable form.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Create templates and systems for data entry of qualitative and quantitative data
  2. Data entry and data cleaning.
  3. Data sorting according to different criteria (e.g. Tehsil wise, district wise, chronological, etc.) in addition to one central repository for all LEAD Pakistan Program related primary data.
  4. Convert into sharable and usable formats for use in Excel, Stata, SPSS, NVIVIO, and other commonly used data analysis programs. 
  5. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  6. Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
  7. Work with other teams to prioritize business and information needs
  8. Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  9. To promote responsible use of data in the voluntary and community sector.
  10. To respond to requests for data from voluntary and community organisations and follow policy of confidentiality in sharing of database.
  11. Provide assistance and troubleshooting for researchers and analysts using database.
  12. Maintain regular contact and coordination with project’s Data Analyst.
  13. To provide information and support to the Project Managers

Professional & Qualification Requirements:

  1. BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics.
  2. Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst for at least 5 years.
  3. Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
  4. Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (Stata, SPSS, NVIVIO, or data analysis programs)
  5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  6. Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.

The positions relate to a landmark project in Water in the Punjab Province.

All position required frequent travel between Islamabad & Lahore and Districts of Southern Punjab.
