A USAID-funded project, located in Islamabad, urgently requires the services of appropriately qualified individual, as per following detail. This induction is likely to continue till project culmination in April 2017.

Database Administrator:

The Database Administrator shall oversee the development and maintenance of the MIS/database/software. More specifically:

  1. Will be responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of the MIS, according to requirements and within specified timelines.
  2. Will oversee the gathering of GIS/MIS database/Software requirements from the client and any assigned focal/contact persons.
  3. Will supervise the IT team for proper cleaning and entering of the acquired data from permitted sources.
  4. Will develop Scope of Work and lead selection and subsequent supervision of any short-term consultants, hired for development/maintenance of the MIS, on need basis.
  5. Will supervise overall maintenance of the MIS and data.
  6. Will discuss with the Project Manager (PM), all aspects of MIS related work in the project.
  7. Will report to the PM and perform any other relevant task assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • The candidate must have a Master’s degree in IT or another relevant field from an HEC recognized university.
  • The candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in IT design and programming.
  • Fluency in English and Urdu is required. S/he should also have strong English and Urdu communication skills – both oral and written, and the ability to work independently as well as a part of team.
  • Prior experience of working with in donor-funded projects, in similar role, is an advantage.
