Project Description:

The U.S.-Pakistan Partnership for Agricultural Market Development (AMD) in Pakistan is a USAID funded project implemented by CNFA with the goal of supporting the development of Pakistan’s commercial agriculture, particularly through ‘Increased Economic Performance of Focus Enterprises’ to meet both international and domestic demand and requirements in targeted product lines in the Livestock, High Value Off Season Vegetables (HVOSV), Citrus, and Mango sectors. This program aims to create productive commercial linkages between agricultural producers and the private sector in the mango, citrus, halal meat, and high-value off-season vegetable value chains.

 

Position Summary:

This position will be based in Lahore and is open to Pakistani nationals only. CNFA is seeking applications from qualified candidates for Agricultural Market Development Program (AMD) in Pakistan. The Consultant Baseline and M&E will assist in baseline data collection relevant to AMD interventions in Citrus, Mango, High Value/Off Seasons Vegetables and Livestock Value Chain in selected value chains.  The consultant will assist in collecting primary data on key indicators to be maintained and updated in a database during the course of the project implementation and afterwards and will collect performance data from AMD grantees and targeted value chains regularly. The consultant will assist in M&E activities across project components and will also assist the M&E Director in carrying out certain M&E tasks. More specifically, duties include:

  •         Engage in baseline data collection from the grantees
  •         Conduct primary data collection, including interviews, surveys, and focus groups
  •         Manage the data collection efforts ensuring the accuracy of data collection, the timely collection of data and the quality of data collected.
  •         Data management and consolidation through prescribed data collection tools and trackers and making sure that data is reliable and authentic
  •         Analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data on quarterly basis and sharing field monitoring reports.
  •         Contribute to work plans, reports, success stories, and other deliverables.
  •         Quarterly update and submit performance data on all key indicators with disaggregation
  •         Submission of data set on excel and SPSS
  •         Analyze the field data as required, and develop draft briefs and M&E reports.
  •         Carry out other duties, as necessary and assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  •    Pakistani national;
  •          A Master degree in Business Management, Agricultural Economics, Statistics or Social Sciences
  •          At least 3-5 years of experience in data collection and management and support of baseline, M&E and research studies is required, preferably in food security and/or nutrition programs;
  •          Proven track record of data collection, field monitoring, data management, analysis and reporting
  •          Experience of generating reports based on data analysis.
  •          Experience working with USAID and international donors required;
  •          Excellent skills of data management and interpretation through SPSS
  •          Excellent command on Excel and Ms. Access
  •          Strong interpersonal, verbal and written English communication skills.
