Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) is a non-governmental, policy think tank which produces knowledge to enhance the capacity of government and private sector in making informed policy decisions and to engage civil society on issues of public interest.  SDPI is looking for a Research Associate.

 2.0   POSITION OBJECTIVES

 This position will work in close collaboration of SDPI’s Research team. S/he will be not only responsible for carrying out external monitoring and evaluation assignments, but organizational performance M&E too. S/he will also be  responsible for  conducting impact assessments studies and process review studies. S/he will be responsible for networking and regular liaison with other research institutes, INGOs, UN Agencies and public sector organizations.

Fund raising through strengthening M & E department will also be part of his/her role. S/he will also ensure maintenance of a survey finding database.

3.0   JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES AND TASKS

3.1   Core Responsibilities & Duties

1.  Develop comprehensive and effective collaborations with NGOs, UN Agencies and public and private sectors.

2.  Develop and implement various standard monitoring protocols (including questionnaires and survey designs) for different programmes, research studies, and third party assignments.

3.  Develop proposals for conducting base line studies, process review, monitoring and evaluation studies and impact assessment studies for various donor/partner organizations.

4.  Manage field based data collection

5.  Supervise data management and analysis in the required software

6.  Provide Consultation and provide input in synthesizing a process for utilizing baseline information in documentation

7.  Ensure all project reports are produced on time with high quality

8.  Ensure representation of SDPI at all appropriate forums

9.  Assist ED in evaluation of different donor’s projects/programmes

10. Design M&E trainings for in-house Trainings through CCB

11. The incumbent is expected to raise US$ 10000 per annum from M&E assignments

 

4.0   JOB SPECIFICATION (MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS)

Education

 

Masters in statistics, with advanced training in Monitoring and evaluation.

 

Or

 

Master is Social Sciences with advanced training of organizational performance assessment

Total Work Experience (In Yrs)

10 year’s post qualification

 

Proven track record of fund raising

Sector Experience (In Yrs)

 

3 years Proven Track record of M&E assignments
