ELIGIBILITY:

  • Bachelors/Master’s degree preferably in communications, marketing, business, new media or related discipline from a reputable international or Pakistani institution
  • 3-5 years of solid experience in the field of communications and external relations, with at least 2 years in managing social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn), community management, social insights reporting, and media relations
  • Strong knowledge and experience of writing/managing blogs and working with content management systems and site platforms
  • Expertise in Drupal and WordPress
  • Experience in digital marketing and search engine optimization
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, editing and presentation skills
  • Excellent networking and PR skills
  • Detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment 
  • Highly creative and imaginative with the ability to think about what the company should do next and introduce new ideas and approaches

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Provide support to the Knowledge Management & Communications (KM&C) team in developing and executing strategies for Karandaaz Pakistan that are linked to its brand voice and knowledge goals and expand its outreach efforts
  • Play an active part in all aspects of communications and branding for Karandaaz Pakistan, including core communications areas, such as publications and products, company website, social media, media relations, editorial services, creative services etc.
  • Take a lead role in developing the company’s presence on and effective use of Social Media for Karandaaz Pakistan’s target audiences including policymakers, regulators, industry professionals, donors, entrepreneurs, women and youth
  • Write blogs, facebook posts, tweets and other web-based content, presenting the key findings, analysis, insights and implications of digital finance research
  • Actively recruit and manage effective relationships with a wide and diverse range of high profile contributors as well as international and national organizations working in the same industry to bring the best voices to a national and international audience
  • Edit, evaluate, and curate content contributed by external writers
  • Manage/oversee development of web and social media content (status, infographics, tweets, blogs, landing pages, support page) and design of social media assets
  • Create reports and forecasts by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and make recommendations and tactics for revising the strategies
  • Establish moderation policies for each platform and moderate user-generated content
  • Remain abreast with global research relevant to Karandaaz Pakistan Pakistan’s development agenda involving literature review, liaising with researchers and academics engaged in research
