Mechanical Engineer

A Real Estate Developer, based in Islamabad has the openings for the Mechanical Engineer as part of project management team for its high-rise mixed-use construction and development.

General Purpose:

Managing the Design, Execution, Completion, and Handover of the Project as Leader of the Mechanical Team.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Checking & coordinating MEP design drawings with civil & ID drawings.
• Quality control & checking of execution of MEP works & material used.
• Control and monitoring of MEP works progress on site as per time schedules.
• Detailed study of tender , BOQs & Technical evaluation of MEP equipment.
• Resolve design related site issues & coordinate all project drawings among consultants.
• Preparation of RFI’s & technical submittals.
• Response & resolve technical issues related to HVAC equipment.
• Project Feasibility Reports and  Tender Cost Analysis
• Project Management
• Design of HVAC (heating, ventilation & Air conditioning) systems.
• Design of Plumbing & drainage systems
• Design of dry & wet Fire Fighting.
• Assign, check and assist works to sub-contractors and supervision staff.
• Carryout technical meetings with Consultants.
• Study latest R&D in HVAC industry
• Manage on-going installations works.
• Material schedule for Purchase required at site.
• Study and explain consultants design drawings.
• Timely provision of shop drawings.
• Management of Sub-contracting as per the Company Procedures.
• Arrangement for the supply of materials to site, Updating Site progress and status of materials & other resources as at site.
• Documentation and Record keeping of documents etc.

Project Co-ordination

• Management of Sub-contracting as per the Company Procedures.
• Arrangement for the supply of materials to site, Updating Site progress and status of materials & other resources as at site.
• Documentation and Record keeping of documents etc.

Qualification/Experience

Minimum Graduation Degree with at least 5 years of experience as team leads for Mechanical works.

Required Skills/Licenses/Certifications

• Ability to build trust and confidence with management and staff.
• Strategic thinking and leadership skills, ability to communicate with employees at all levels.
• Consultation skills; understanding of design and coordination with consultants.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable regulations & industry standards etc.
• All Selection & Design Software related to HVAC & Plumbing.
• 3D & 2D Modeling and Design capabilities in CAD tools.
• MS office & all basic official use software’s.
