Major Responsibilities:

 Capacity Institutionalization Project (CIP)

Assist Coordinator in implementation of CIP. Details are as follows.

- Undertake Pre and Post Work of trainings:

- Conduct TNA’s and prepares training calendars focussing on project theme, partners need and global trend.

- Effective packaging and marketing of training invitations and relevant material

- Coordinate with trainers on training modules and relevant information.

- Ensuring timely maintenance, verification, updating and backup-sharing of training database/information regularly.

- Designing, pre-testing and implementing tools such as – pre& post-tests, evaluation of training learning, trainers, management teams etc. Develop effective mechanisms to create, evaluate and document impact.

 - Implement Follow-up programs.

- Timely execution of field visits of all trainings and follow-up activities keeping in line with security policies.

- Develop and maintain effective mechanisms for implementation of inputs gathered during field visits.

- Develop effective mechanisms to create, evaluate and document impact.

- Provide creative inputs in follow-up strategy and conduct market survey.

 - Assist the Coordinator in budget control and planning.

- Coordinate with the Coordinator and team members to prepare training, evaluation and donor reports.

- Focal person for Internal audit;

- Write activity/project reports and CIP documentation.

- Correspondence with partners and team involved in planning.

- Assist other team members when required.

- Maintain records in both soft and hard copies of CIP.

 Other responsibilities for Peace & Democracy Projects:

 - Effective Planning, Implementation and Budget control of projects assigned under Peace and Democracy.

- Assist in developing relevant strategies to streamline processes.

- Assist in expanding Peace and Democracy projects in the region.

Documentation; Writing or developing project documents, including (but not limited to) activity reports, training reports, monitoring reports, progress reports, lessons learnt documentation, when required in professional English.

Project Management of Peace and Democracy Projects. This will include;

Close communication and coordination with implementing partners.

- Developing Implementation Plans for effective implementation.

- Develop indicators and set benchmarks to track progress.

- Conducting monitoring visits to the project sites.

- Assist in developing effective monitoring and evaluation tools.

- Budget control of the activity.

- Enhancing procedures and processes (developing and modifying various forms) for the activity and developing effective mechanisms to create, evaluate and document impact.

- Ensuring timely verification of information regularly.

- Strengthen the M&E and follow-up mechanisms and visit partners/beneficiaries to monitor impacts if necessary.

- Enhancing and strengthening management structures, systems, procedures and programs within the organization and of partners.

Visibility; Represent organization in various events. 

Assist in Internal audit and mainstreaming Q&A ;

- Developing corrective actions against findings.

- Revise/add/remove forms and formats in consultation with team.

- Take initiatives in mainstreaming Q&A in peace and democracy work.

- Being part of discussion processes aimed at enriching project / program / organizational activities. 

- Coordinate with other Governmental or Non-Governmental organizations for projects/programs improvements.

- Being aware on current issues, current affairs, etc.

 Skills Required:

 

Qualification/Experience:                                

For the post of Senior Program Officer a degree from university and 4-5 years’ experience is considered necessary.

 

Skill/Competencies:                                        

Senior Program Officer can write and design excellent reports independently, conduct analysis and develop strategies for program development.

 

Languages:                                                     

Good English & Urdu are essential.

Good knowledge of Sindhi language is desirable.

 

Travelling:

The post requires frequent travel to various locations across Pakistan.
