General Background and Position Description
The Policy Team will soon be entering its last phase of the five-year Power Distribution Program; closeout. Working under the direction and supervision of the Team Lead / Sr. Advisor, the Reporting Associate will provide support for closeout activities in accordance with US regulations and IRG’s closeout policies and procedures. S/he will prepare data and reports on closeout activities, and identify and resolve closeout issues on a recurring/nonstandard basis.
Relevant Experience:
Qualification:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in accounting , finance, management or equivalent field
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in development and/or research writing
Skills:
- Excellent writing, analytical and research skills are essential.
- Demonstrated experience in utilizing word processing (MS Word) and spreadsheet (MS Excel) applications.
- Ability to work independently within expressed parameters, regularly scheduled tasks and adherence to strict deadlines is essential.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communications across PDP team members.
- Highly motivated with excellent organizational skills; must be detail oriented
Job Description:
The Reporting Associate will perform and accomplish the stated duties to the highest quality and standards, and will assist the Policy team to perform the tasks including the following:
- Identify, perform and track closeout planning and devise strategies to verify program completion related to the Policy & Governance team.
- Gather data and create reports on closeout activities, and compile appropriate closeout documentation
- Confirm all closeout actions and resolve any outstanding issues
- Perform outreach and liaison activities with internal PDP teams
- Prepare, track and review team fully executed, closed contract deliverables over the course of the program, for archiving.
- Obtain all forms, reports and clearances as applicable to closeout
- Develop and maintain close spreadsheet / inactive file inventory
- Understand and apply USAID requirements, and IRG’s policies and procedures to achieve closeout activities
- Ensure compliance with contract closeout provisions
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Supervisor
