Project Summary: 

Chemonics International, an international development consulting firm based in Washington, D.C., seeks qualified candidates for an anticipated project in Pakistan funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Office of Transition Initiatives. This project will build upon ongoing work under the current Pakistan Transition Initiative (PTI) program, aiming to counter violent extremism and build a foundation for political and social development in conflict-prone communities in Pakistan. We are seeking technical experts and project managers, preferably with prior experience in working on development projects. This anticipated project is expected to span over 3 years and will focus on areas of Northern Sindh, Southern Punjab, and Karachi. 

We are recruiting for a Grants Manager who can become part of our proposal team and later be hired once and if the Project has been awarded to Chemonics International Inc. The individual holding this position will be responsible for:

  • Administrative and financial management of grants to ensure compliance with USAID and Chemonics grants rules, processes, and regulations
  • Analysing and evaluating grant applications, monitoring expenditures of beneficiaries, and providing grantees with technical advice and assistance in financial management, procurement, and the planning and implementation of activities
  • Overseeing and coordinating the implementation of grant activities with a wide range of partners
  • Drafting and finalising grant agreements with local entities

Relevant Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience in assisting in design, development, and implementation of grant activities and grants management policies; experience working with USAID projects will be preferred
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate grant applications and grantee proposals 
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • University degree in a relevant field desired, but not required
