Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Technology (Three Years) or B-Tech (Four Years) from recognized institute.

 

Experience:    Minimum 6 to 8 Years hands-on practical experience in a large industrial complex. Experience related to food industry will be preferred.

 

Computer Skills: Familiar with Microsoft Office, AutoCad and other computer-based applications.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Perform Project Installation, Testing & Commissioning activities as directed by Project Engineers.
  • Strong Knowledge & background of Breakdown Maintenance, Schedule & Preventive Maintenance.
  • Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and details.
  • Able to reconcile materials.
  • Firm knowledge of procurement procedures, knowledge of SAP is added advantage.
  • Supervise jobs related to troubleshooting of various mechanical equipment / machine, vessels, tanks and piping etc.
  • Familiar with overhauling of stationary and rotary equipment and supervise maintenance on screw compressors and pumps etc.
  • Perform jobs as per preventive maintenance schedule provided to them.
  • Updating Engineer on daily jobs and additional jobs assigned to them.
  • Provide support services to other departments and perform jobs as per Maintenance Work Request / Follow up of work permit procedures in coordination with Operation, Maintenance and other departments.
  • Request equipment, materials and consumables as required and monitor the use of materials and care of equipment and plant to minimize waste and damage.
  • Ensure that work is performed as per Job Cards and current schedule of works.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and that documentation is completed on time.
  • Monitoring & expediting all mechanical work in the shop floor and site.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC for inspection activities.
  • Inspection of Materials and Review of Material Test reports as per code requirements (Plate, pipe, Flanges, Forgings, Fittings and Formed products etc.)
  • Inspection of Welding consumables and preparation of Inspection Reports.
  • Follow safety rules and ensure personnel safety as well as equipment safety.
  • Maintain the tools in tidy condition after use and check wears or damage.
  • Keep mechanical drawings/documents in good/updated condition.
  • Supervise housekeeping in workshop, plant room and area where job is performed.
  • Knowledge of HVAC & Refrigeration equipment is added advantage.
