Public Awareness Lead

Chemonics seeks a public awareness lead for an anticipated USAID-funded project in Pakistan.  The project will assist the Government and the private sector partners in building capacity to deliver finance where it can be used most effectively, and in developing a legal framework and market infrastructure in which financial sector institutions and their business partners create value that provides growth and employment opportunities for Pakistanis. Responsibilities include: develop public outreach and communications and lead efforts to communicate and disseminate the advances of the project to the public. This position will be based in Islamabad or Lahore.

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree or equivalent in communications, journalism, marketing or related field.
• A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in developing successful communication strategies and leading comprehensive internal and external communication initiatives.
• Knowledge of USAID operations, programming and structure a plus.

• Proficiency in English and Urdu required; knowledge of Pashto desirable.
