Financial Inclusion Component Lead

Chemonics seeks a financial inclusion component lead for an anticipated USAID-funded project in Pakistan targeting the private sector and supporting small-medium enterprises (SME) in various industries. Responsibilities include: identifying constraining factors to Pakistani business such as a high interest rates and regulatory barriers in order to secure the appropriate financing that is essential for growth, increased sales and job creation. This position will be based in Islamabad or Lahore.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in improving the competitive environment through strengthening of the private sector and improving inclusion to finance for SME
• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in finance, economics, business, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience focused on developing operation strategies to increase access to finance and financial inclusion product development in Pakistan
• Knowledge and prior experience of USAID operations, programming, and structure a plus.
• Proficiency in English and Urdu required; knowledge of Pashto desirable.
