Specific Job Responsibilities

 

1-       Lead on developing a strategic framework for geriatric Health and Nutrition program in country in line with HelpAge’s global and country office strategies.

2-       Identify relevant/potential donors and Lead in development of Concept Notes and project proposals on Health and Nutrition and submission to donors.

3-       Coordinate and manage Health and Nutrition projects (humanitarian and development) and Age friendly health components in larger projects to ensure smooth and timely implementation as per the project design.

4-       Consolidate and maintain program/project data; develop periodic progress reports and project completion reports for management and or external stakeholders.

5-       Develop monitoring and evaluation tools to evaluate program/project progress, effectiveness and relevance; analyze results and report; make recommendations to program management and relevant technical teams in London and/or take appropriate action/s.

6-       Document good practices, evidence, program learning’s and identify gaps in the existing data through desk and operational research; supervise relevant researches;  disseminate the findings to relevant stakeholders.

7-       Monitor the trends in local, national and international health policy and initiatives that impact HelpAge’s health program and make recommendations to management for development of Health and Nutrition program accordingly.

8-       Develop conceptual and strategic frameworks for policy and advocacy on health especially NCDs, Ageing & Disability, Emotional wellbeing, and home based-care.

9-       Advocacy with major actors (Government, (I) NGOs and UN Clusters, NDMA) in key coordination meetings through regular attendance and engagement. Assist the Snr. Program Manager in forming program partnerships in geriatric health and nutrition.

10-   Design and development of training modules and IEC material for different audiences on health topic.

11-   Represent HelpAge International at national and international forums and ensure active HAI membership / participation in donor, cluster, NGO and other relevant forums.

Requirement

 

  1. MPH /MBBS
  2. 3-5 years relevant experience with INGO
  3. Proven experience of program development
  4. Managed donors funded projects
