Job Summary;

The local consultant (s), under the supervision of international consultant, will carry out impact assessment of selected interventions in livestock and horticulture sector and subsectors in terms of increased incomes and job creation. The consultants would be required to conduct the assessment based on following parameters:

  • Were the strategies adopted and approaches used in selection of grantees according to the project design and were the target clients reached?
  • Did the grants achieve the objectives for which the project interventions designed and implemented?
  • What measurable difference in terms of income and jobs is being made on the basis of grants implemented? What is return on investment for financial resources allocated for the grants?
  • Were the grants implemented in the most efficient way? Did they represent value for money? Were the goods and services provided by the grants delivered on time?
  • Is there preliminary evidence among recipients of completed grants of impact at the household and organizational levels and if so will the changes brought about by the grants be sustained in the absence of further assistance from the project?

 The consultant will work in close coordination with the International Consultant and project staff in connection with the assessment.

 Qualification and Experience;

  • Master degree in the relevant field
  • Knowledge of agribusinesses and Value chain innervations
  • Previous work in the similar assignments
