Major Responsibilities

  • To ensure the availability of adequate quantities of vaccines.
  • To maintain the cold chain for the vaccines.
  • He will be responsible for monitoring the quantity and expiry date of all the medicines/vaccines used by him and to inform the Medical Officer of the need to reorder vaccines/supplies at least 20 days in advance of need.
  • He will be responsible for the correct use, sterilization and care of all the equipment/medical supplies used by the team in the implementation of the program.
  • He will administer the correct vaccines and explain the correct dosage of all medicines to the patients according to the directions of the Medical Officers.
  • He will maintain an accurate register of the Immunization/vaccines supplies issued to BHU/MHU.
  • He will ensure that all equipment is maintained according to the best hygiene practices.
  • He will provide regular monthly reports of vaccines utilization to Medical Officers.
  • He will be participating in weekly meetings of health team to discuss work plan and work related issues.

 

Skills Required:

  • For the post of Vaccinator, EPI diploma from recognised institute with at least 2 years of experience in relevant field with INGO is considered necessary.
  • The Vaccinator should have pleasant personality, good interpersonal and communication skills. He should have good planning and report writing skills. He should be flexible, committed and dedicated.
  • Good Urdu and Pushto are essential.
