Cooperation Disaster Management Assistant

Requirement:

•    University degree preferably in social sciences and/ or disaster management (DM) studies
•   At least five years of related experience in DM Preparedness & Response/Risk Reduction 
•   Fluent in written and spoken English, Urdu and Pashto
•   Very good analytical and writing skills as well as communication & presentation skills
•   Very good computer skills, considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel  
•   Good knowledge of contextual vulnerabilities to natural disasters and other emergencies;
•   Team leadership skills
•   Motivation and true interest to develop Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) capacity in disaster management

Responsibilties:

• Responsible for managing the capacity building of thePRCSDisaster Management programme,  supported by the ICRC
• Be the DM focal person for the department and the ICRC Delegation for matters relating DM
• Builds positive and healthy working relationship with thePRCS, and maintains regular contacts with the DM counterparts inPRCS, Federation (IFRC), Participating National Societies  (PNS), and other national and international organisations
• Participates in Planning for Results and budget elaboration and monitor its implementation.
• Contributes to the achievement of Cooperation department's overall objectives by providing support to the Head of Department whenever required for different departmental tasks.
