Community Appraisal and Motivation Programme (CAMP) is a national non-profit and non-governmental organisation established and registered in May 2002. We work with some of the most underprivileged communities in Pakistan; responding to emergencies, improving access to quality health and education, creating livelihood opportunities and working closely with communities and government departments to promote human rights, peace and security.

CAMP is looking for a Web Developer/Graphic Designer/IT support. This will be one position based in Islamabad.

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Graphic Designer is responsible for designing CAMP publications, including reports, newsletters etc, promotion material and other documents; maintaining CAMP website and providing IT related support to Islamabad Office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Work closely with programme staff to ensure that publications and other material is designed and finalized, according to the work plan
  • With support from the project team, ensure that material is printed well on time and available before an event
  • Maintain CAMP website in collaboration with programmes and operations staff
  • Provide IT related support to Islamabad, including database management; installing/configuring computer/operating systems/applications; troubleshooting and other related work.
  • Attend and participate in the meetings.
  • Keep up to date with the latest software and technology
  • Take part in training and self-development activities as agreed with supervisor.
  • Adhere to CAMP policies/procedures including finance, human resources, security, procurement and logistics
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions & Travel:

The position is based in Islamabad. Some travel to Peshawar is expected.

Person Specification

Education/Qualification:

Masters degree in a relevant subject from HEC recognized university

Experience, Skills & Competencies:

  • Minimum 3 years of similar working experience preferably in NGO/INGO/UN agency
  • Demonstrated experience in coral draw, adobe, in-page and other software (Urdu typing desirable)  
  • Demonstrated experienced in setting up and maintaining computer networks/LAN administration, electronic mail, Internet, wireless technology, hardware maintenance and business applications software
  • Proficiency in computer applications and programming languages (desirable)
  • Having organizational commitment, personal integrity and accountability, ability to work with diverse groups of people and respect for others
  • Ability to work flexible hours and under pressure
