Job Title:                    Assistant Manager Program

Job Summary & Specific Responsibilities:

Job Summary:

  • The purpose of the position is to manage, administer and provide support to Area Office staff in their interaction with Development Areas and partners and achievement of organizational objectives.
  • Plays a vital role in managing relationship with partners particularly, ensures that organizational policies, strategic objectives are not compromised.  
  • Identification of partners in the business community, national and international NGOs, multi-lateral and bilateral institutions, CSOs, activists groups, social movements and research organizations that are pursuing similar pro-poor policy and advocacy agenda.
  • Required to have a good grasp of and skill in planning, designing, implementation and monitoring of SME’s.
  • Understanding and experience in the areas of rights-based approach are highly advantageous.
  • Review Development Areas activities and performance against plans and budget and undertake corrective measures in collaboration and coordination with team
  • Timely identify key problems, issues and program implementation difficulties including conflict in the development area’s and seek solution independently or in coordination with other relevant units and staff in the organization.
  • Provide technical support to develop annual plan & budgets  for the Area Office in consultation with all staff members.
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications / Experience

  • A Master’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, economics, agricultural economics, rural development or other relevant degrees.
  • Minimum experience of 3 years is required out of which 1 year should be in a similar role. Experience of working with International NGOs, donor agencies, or other reputed international development organizations will be a plus.

 

Programs: Experience of working in planning, designing, implementation and monitoring of SME & Agribusiness development programs or similar interventions in donors-funded projects, with reputed local or international NGOs, donor agencies, or other reputed international development organizations. Experience of working under USAID-funded projects will be a plus.

  • Computer literacy with demonstrated use of word processing, database and presentation software (Word, Excel, Power Point etc).
