Procurement Coordinator

Relevant Experience:

• Minimum 5 years previous experience with procurement, preferably high volume and grant related. 
• Proven ability to lead, manage and motivate a diverse team and coordinate closely with other departments.
• Experience with international donors/organizations procurement policies, rules, regulations and procedures.
• Budgeting and cost analysis experience.
• Strong communication skills; writing and speaking English, Urdu, Sindhi and Pashtu.

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, or a related field.
• Excellent multi-tasking and organizational abilities

Job Description:

Responsibility for the day to day management of procurement and in-kind support for all grants and operational activities:

• Oversee procurement unit to ensure that goods and materials are purchased at the lowest competitive prices and that paperwork on all purchases is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
• Track all grants currently under process, ensure equal distribution of workload among procurement unit, set deadlines for completion, and ensure all deadlines are met.
• Identify opportunities for bulk purchasing and implement system for pre-qualification of vendors.
• On a daily basis, monitor all purchases against approved budgets to prevent over-expenditures and identify the need for time or cost extensions on projects.  Regularly coordinate with program and grant units to ensure timely bidding, procurement and delivery of high quality goods and services.
• Ensure all procurement paperwork is complete and audit-compliant.
• Assist with budget preparation and grant review process to verify all procurement information is complete and up to date.
• Ensure supplier lists, preferred supplier agreements, purchasing guides and market surveys are done correctly.
• Identify areas to build the capacity of staff and conduct training accordingly.
• Implement strong internal review and approval system in coordination with Engineering, Grant, Program, and Finance Units.  
• Perform all duties in strict adherence to donor and organization rules and regulations.
