Project Coordinator – Kasur
 
 
PURPOSE OF POSITION
 
To coordinate the activities of the Programme and manage day-to-day running of the Programme for non-earthquake areas by ensuring that adequate support (logistics, HR, technical support) is available to the team in the field and the Programme Manager in Islamabad. Also represent the organization in Islamabad at meetings relevant to the Programme as guided by Programme Manager. Working with Implementing partners this position is supposed to coordinate activities pertaining to monitoring and evaluation in line with detailed implementation plan and monitoring & evaluation plan with implementing partners and ensure that the activities are carried out in line with WV’s ethical and operations guidelines
 
Major Responsibilities:
 
·         Providing support to the Program Manager & Programme Officer in developing concept papers and proposals for submission to major donors
·         As per management’s guidelines, manage day to day running of the projects by spending time in the field and providing coordination and technical support to the activities
·         Providing timely update to the Program Manager on the ongoing project/initiative for effective decision making
·         Providing support to Program Manager in establishing key contacts and identifying potential partners
·         Ensuring that World Vision Policies and guidelines are followed in Project/Program development in terms of timely submission of reports, proposals and financial information
·         Visit field sites to maintain contact with communities and structures formed under the project
·         Engage with Government to maintain rapport building and information exchange
·         Ensure Capacity building of IP through WV Support departments.
·         Working closely with Implementing Partners (IPs) ensuring adherence to policies and implementation plans
·         Develop monitoring plan in close collaboration with the Programme Manager & CEO (IP) and ensuring adherence to implementation plans, high quality project management and timely implementation
·         Provide technical support to IPs in preparation of key documents (for example, detailed implementation plans, log-frames, M&E plans, monthly and quarterly reports)
·         Ensure progress and relevant issues are highlighted with WV’s management and that timely decision-making in carried out to facilitate smooth-running of the projects/ Programmes
·         Facilitate DM&E Officer to develop M&E plans and systems, assist in assessments, Base line surveys and KAPB studies and developing tools for these exercises
·         Liaise and collaborate with other internal departments to ensure smooth functioning of system
·         Develop Partnership agreements/MOUs with IPs
·         Ensure the information is adequately managed and stored in appropriate manner
·         Ensure that the reports are prepared in line with the requirement and recommended formats, ensuring timeliness by building staff capacity
·         Maintain files and folders on reporting for easy accessibility
·         Ensure timely & appropriate submission of Project expenses
·         Ensure BMT is updated and traceable
·         Budget management for effective utilization (including CF)
·         Facilitate Project Audits
·         Facilitate Programme Manager in responding to request for information/inputs into the models of Urban Development
·         Other duties as assigned by the Programme Manager.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
 
·         Masters Degree in social work, social sciences, psychology, or other related subject.
·         4 to 6 experience in Programme/project Management
·         Knowledge and experience in monitoring and evaluation activities, preferably with the NGO sector
·         Ability to work without close supervision and can work under pressure with close deadlines
·         Administration and information management skills
·         Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment
·         Clear understanding of developing proposals and concept notes while working with major donors
·         Strong analytical and report writing skills
·         Excellent facilitation skills and use of participatory techniques
·         Proven organizing, planning skills and problem-solving skills
·         Must be prepared to work occasionally out of hours and to travel through Pakistan in sometimes challenging conditions
