Our company is an international energy sector firm that helps governments, the private sector, communities, and households manage critical resources to build a cleaner, safer, and more prosperous world and has been in operations since 1978.  Our current program in Pakistan is supporting the USAID-funded improvement to the power distribution sector, involving eight distribution companies (DISCOs). 

We are seeking a number of high calibre individuals to join our team to help improve Pakistan’s energy challenges. The posts detailed below are based in Islamabad but must be prepared to travel to all DISCO locations in the program as part of their employment. 

Job Description:

We are seeking an IT/IS/ERP manager to coordinate several IT performance improvement projects across the program. A high calibre individual is sought to develop a Utility Enterprise Architecture for energy sector IT/IS to enhance coordination, simplify integration, build a consistent infrastructure, and allow greater efficiency in the development of cost effective technology solutions.  Specifically, we seek someone to act as a single point of contact within the program to develop that enterprise architecture by taking /considering inputs and requirements of all the team leads (Engineering, Finance, HR and Commercial).  The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and facilitating the planning and management of IT/IS services/systems
  • Support evaluation of technical alternatives considering technical, cost, best fit and sustainability aspects
  • Maintaining consistency in the program in IT/IS recommendations
  • Eliminating duplicate development effort
  • Establishing relevant evaluation criteria
  • Defining functional requirements for common architecture
  • Asses existing IT/IS infrastructure at Utilities and define a future roadmap for compliance with stated goals
  • Outlining  key tasks, resources and the potential cost for developing these utility IT/IS systems
  • Advising on information technology resource planning and management requirements
  • Assisting in the development and prioritization of the information technology resource needs
  •  Assisting in the development of strategies for implementing the enterprise IT/IS systems

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience in these fields and be prepared to provide references to validate this experience.
