In-Kind Grant Support for Strengthening of Women-owned Personal Care Enterprises in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The USAID’s funded Economic Recovery and Development Activity (USAID-ERDA) is a five-year activity implemented by Associates in Development (AiD) Pvt Ltd. The USAID-ERDA aims to increase economic opportunities by strengthening and modernizing the agriculture sector and promoting micro, small & medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and its Newly Merged Districts (NMDs).

USAID-ERDA under its MSMEs component plans to provide in-kind grant support to eligible women entrepreneurs for their existing personal care enterprises (beauty parlors) in Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Dera Ismail Khan and Kurram.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• The applicant must be a woman and permanent resident of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with a valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
• Must have an existing beauty parlor in one of the selected districts (Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Dera Ismail Khan and Kurram).
• The business must have been operational at a minimum for the last one (01) year. The USAID-ERDA team will conduct a physical verification to confirm the existence and operational status of the business.
• Must have a minimum of 200 sq feet of dedicated and accessible space with basic utilities suitable for business upgrading with the plan for utilizing the additional USAID-ERDA in-kind grant support.
• Applicants who have completed a minimum of 6 months of technical/vocational training or have obtained a diploma in the relevant subject such as beautician, make-up, saloon management etc. will be preferred.
• Applicant should be willing to participate in USAID-ERDA’s relevant training and capacity-building programs, exposure visits, etc. 

TYPE OF SUPPORT

• In-kind Grant Support of up-to PKR 1,000,000 per enterprise.

• Complete grant application form. (Mandatory)
• Copies of valid CNIC (Mandatory)
• Business Registration documents (if applicable)
• Any other information / document related to your current business such as sales receipts and contracts etc. (Optional)
