Legal Advisor

Relevant Qualification/Experience: 

The candidates must have at least 4 years relevant experience in the Oil and Gas sector and over 5 years’ experience as an advocate of High Court with experience in the field of Constitutional laws including corporate, labor and services laws. 

 Job Description:

1. Render legal advice and support to KPOGCL.
2. Ensure corporate Policies are in order and conformity with the laws on the subject, and contribute to strategic planning processes at both the company and its subsidiary level.
3. Provide support, advice and guidance to the company secretary and other staff to the company in discharge of their official responsibilities.
4. Ensure all statutory requirements are met, and protect the interest, integrity and investments of the company by rendering legal advice.
5. Attends meetings with joint venture partners or contract companies and negotiate on legal and commercial matters as and when instructed by the Management of KPOGCL.
6. Drafts, reviews and amends legal instruments and further instruct external legal advisors/specialists as and when directed by the management of KPOGCL.
7. Actively participates in and promotes KPOGCL’s health and safety campaigns, policies and procedures.
8. Timely respond to queries and questions asked by the Management of KPOGCL through official channel.
9. Represent KPOGCL before Courts of Law in Pakistan and plead on behalf of the company before the courts.
10. Provide advice to KPOGCL regarding the overall litigation policy of the company, as well as individual cases.
11. Render advice to KPOGCL in respect of Court cases which it is, or may be, engaged in.
12. Perform any others task or tasks as directed by the CEO.
